The Lucas Miles Show Podcast: 2017 – 2019

I was given the opportunity to work as the sole recording engineer and audio/music editor of The Lucas Miles Show which hosts an eclectic list of top national guests, like Hollywood’s, Candace Cameron Bure, Mario Lopez, and Kathie Lee Gifford, to Christian pastors like Chad Veach and Will Graham, to news and culture figures such as Rabbi Leder, Sean Hannity, and more. During this time I recorded interviews at national conferences, engineered recording sessions for sponsored tag lines and commercials, as well as edited, mixed and mastered every episode.

Student Based Documentary: Fall 2014

A short documentary about the Michigan tech University trails and how they are interconnected with the student’s lives and campus. In this project I created the sound design for the documentary to help incorporate an abstract meaning and recorded all original sfx. As well as contributing to film and music editing.

Nature – A self-made short film: Fall 2013

A short film I made about nature that has a narrative describing how nature is connected with us. I took a variety of b-roll shots all over the Keweenaw peninsula in the U.P. of Michigan and combined it with a V.O. recording of John Muir’s “Song” that required vocal editing. In order to enhance the emotional connecting with nature, I added inspiring music, along with ambient sound effects of each different environment, creating one cohesive story.

“Ylla” by Ray Bradbury – Radio Drama: Spring 2013

For this project, another sound designer and I created a radio drama of the playwright “Ylla” by Ray Bradbury. My job was to create & edit the sound effects and I also performed as the narrator throughout the play. The other sound designer worked on the composition and mixing and we collaborated together in editing the radio drama as one cohesive piece, creating an immersive aural experience for the audience.

Infection Animation – Sound Redesign: Fall 2012

This is 5 minutes of a short french animated film that I redesigned the sound for. The original dialogue was recorded in french. I did voice overs for the dialogue in english and synced it up with the original dialogue. I recreated and designed the sound effects, with some being my own and others from available sfx libraries and integrated contrasting elements of wildly different pieces of music to add a musical dynamic and still support the universal feeling within the story.
